Grossology Fact Of The Moment:

Did You Know?........That........

The great French emperor, Napoleon, conquered much of Europe during the late 1700's and early 1800's. He was pretty tough guy that was remembered mostly for his famous stance of standing with his hand thrust into the open breast buttons of his jacket. Napoleon met his downfall at Waterloo in 1815. Part of his defeat was due to a flare up of hemorrhoids. Although no medical records exist from this time, accounts of the day suggest that Napoleon had piles. His hemorrhoidal pain impaired his performance at times during the crucial battle. Napoleon was probably concentrating on his rear, while his troops fell behind in the battle. Talk about a pile of defeat!
